ITV 1 will this Sunday air a special show on Duran Duran to celebrate the band's 30th year in the industry.

Duran Duran: One Night Only will see the band perform at ITV’s London studios before a live audience, playing classic hits as well as tracks from their new album All You Need Is Now, an expanded version of which is released on Monday.

The show will also include archive footage, some previously unseen, and in-depth interviews with the band’s members.

Singer Simon Le Bon said the band were excited to be part of the One Night Only series, which has also played host to the likes of Bon Jovi and Rod Stewart.

“We really like the format of the programme,” he explained. “We always enjoy performing in front of a live audience and this show will be the first opportunity for us to play a number of songs from the new album.”

ITV controller of entertainment John Kaye Cooper said, “It will be a real treat for ITV viewers to see one of Britain’s most iconic and successful bands celebrating their musical milestone.”

Duran Duran formed in Birmingham in 1978, with the band’s eponymous first album released in 1981. The band’s new album is released by their own Tape Modern label, with support from Essential.

Duran Duran: One Night Only airs at 830pm.
