don't look back

Ask Katy

Hi Katy. Back in the mid 80's "Star Hits" was probably the best source for Duran News in the US. In one news blurb the published sometime before Notorious was finished, they posted a band update saying that, thus far (mind you, this was
sometime late '85 or early '86) they had completed 3 songs: Notorious, American Science, and a song called "Don't Look Now." That last song never appeared on Notorious. Did that song ever exist? Was it ever released under
a different name? If not, what happened to it? If you could ask the guys about this song, it would help put my inquiring mind to resT after 16 years. Thanks! -Matt, Dallas, TX

THAT IS A GREAT QUESTION! DON’T LOOK NOW WAS ACTUALLY NEARLY COMPLETED DURING THE SESSION FOR “WILD BOYS” WITH NILE RODGERS. THERE WAS SOME TALK OF USING THE SONG ON THE “NOTORIOUS” ALBUM, HOWEVER, WHEN THE NEW WRITING SESSIONS TOOK PLACE, “DON’T LOOK BACK” FIT IN WITH THE ALBUM. THE TRACK WAS NEVER QUITE COMPLETED.
